On Sunday at 3:31 p.m. police responded to the shopping center on the 2600 block of North Tracy Boulevard for a report of a man who just tried to rob another man, attempting to grab a chain off the man’s neck. Officers arrived and after a brief search arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree robbery. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail and is being held on $75,000 bail pending a Wednesday morning court hearing in Manteca.

Tracy police received 1,316 calls for service from March 6 through Wednesday. The following is a sampling of those calls as they were documented in real time.

Wednesday

1:40 a.m.: Someone in the 700 block of Mt. Diablo said they were in an argument with a tenant who had been drinking.

8:34 a.m.: A caller in the 3200 block of North Tracy Boulevard said a man in a red Honda kept driving past her and reaching out his hand to grab her and at one point tried to hit her but then the caller left.

12:40 p.m.: A woman said she parked her vehicle at a lot in the 2800 block of Naglee Road and someone in a white GMC pickup moved and parked right in front of her and was looking at her.

1:14 p.m.: Somebody in the 200 block of East 21st Street said a credit card had been opened through a prior employer and the company was still using the credit card and the caller needed to file a report.

4:16 p.m.: A black Dodge Hellcat and another vehicle were reportedly spinning doughnuts on Belconte Drive.

5:42 p.m.: A rear license plate was stolen from a GMC pickup in the 200 block of East Grant Line Road.

6:26 p.m.: Someone told police their mother’s wallet was stolen while she was at a business in the 3200 block of West Grant Line Road.

6:43 p.m.: A person at a business in the 1100 block of International Parkway said a man and a woman stole some products and ran out a back door.

7:50 p.m.: A resident in the 1500 block of Cole Lane thought a neighbor vandalized the tires on his Ford Transit and had another neighbor as a witness.

10:23 p.m.: A caller at a business in the 3400 block of North Tracy Boulevard said three homeless people were behind the building and one of them kept walking to the front. The caller said they couldn’t go outside to tell them to leave and wanted police to give them a no trespass warning.

Tuesday

12:35 a.m.: Someone reported a window broken on a vehicle parked in the 2400 block of Naglee Road.

4:31 a.m.: A resident in the 1700 block of Bristol Lane said earlier in the morning someone tried to steal her 2018 Dodge Durango.

7:59 a.m.: A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen sometime during the night from the 200 block of West Central Avenue.

8 a.m.: Somebody in the 1800 block of Harvest Lane said an unknown person had used their debit card number at a department store and had the order shipped to Bakersfield.

9:31 a.m.: A 2021 Dodge Charger was reported stolen from the 1600 block of Springhill Court and a tracking device on the car showed it was currently in Oakland.

9:45 a.m.: A person at a business in the 800 block of South Tracy Boulevard said two fraudulent checks were deposited at an ATM.

1:32 p.m.: A resident in the 1300 block of Johnson Court said their vehicle was damaged by the garbage company with a trash can that scratched the vehicle and broke a taillight.

5:06 p.m.: A driver on North Tracy Boulevard said someone in a gray Chevrolet Silverado was driving aggressively.

6:25 p.m.: A passenger side mirror was stolen from a Hyundai Palisade parked in the 2600 block of North Tracy Boulevard.

6:44 p.m.: A 2017 Nissan Rouge was reported stolen from somewhere on North Central Avenue.

9:12 p.m.: A truck driver reported a back gate had been cut up to a property in the 800 block of StoneBridge Drive and a light was on in a Jeep parked in the lot.

9:42 p.m.: A person at a business in the 1800 block of West 11the Street said a man that had been given a no trespass warning in the past was in the bathroom and wanted police to remove him from the property.

Monday

2:01 a.m.: A resident in the 900 block of Alden glen Drive said a man driving a dark gray sedan came to their home, rang the door bell and then left.

8:15 a.m.: Someone at a business in the 2800 block of Pavilion Parkway said someone was stealing the batteries out of motorized carts and that person was camped out in the parking lot in a gray hatchback with a blue tarp over it.

10:20 a.m.: Someone wanted to report a fraudulent check and said they had information about the suspect.

12:30 p.m.: A person at a business in the 700 block of South Tracy Boulevard said a customer was in an argument with them because they wouldn’t sell alcohol to them without an ID.

1:22 p.m.: Somebody in the 400 block of Altamont Drive said several credit cards had been opened in their name and thought it was done by an ex-partner.

1:58 p.m.: A caller on Bogetti Lane reported two kids riding dirt bikes in a park.

4:13 p.m.: A resident in the 100 block of Carlton Way said someone was outside breaking windows on the house.

6:52 p.m.: An intoxicated man was laying on a sidewalk in the 1200 block of Parker Avenue singing to himself.

8:05 p.m.: Someone said they withdrew $200 from an ATM at a store in the 3300 block of North Tracy Boulevard and said they took their card but left the money and when they realized and returned the money was gone.

8:58 p.m.: A caller said someone used a crowbar or similar item to break into a toolbox on a white Ford F350 and stole about $1,000 of tools and drills.

8:58: p.m.: A person at a business in the 700 block of West Clover Road said a homeless man and woman were setting up an encampment on the eastside of the property behind a sign.

Sunday

12:42 a.m.: A driver on North Corral Hollow Road reported a vehicle with men wearing masks, including one who appeared to have a gun, and the vehicle made a U-turn and was following the caller.

1:01 a.m.: The California Highway Patrol transferred a call about a driver who left the freeway and was swerving all over the lanes on Naglee Road and then pulled into a parking lot at West Valley Mall.

10:02 a.m.: Someone in the 3500 block of Eagle Rock Loop said their 2006 Chevrolet Silverado had been broken into in an attempt to steal it.

2:24 p.m.: A caller said a driver in a blue Prius was heading the wrong direction on 11th Street heading toward the onramp to Interstate 5. Police notified the California Highway Patrol.

2:36 p.m.: A person at a business in the 2800 block of Naglee Road said a man they had a no trespass warning on had returned to the store.

4:10 p.m.: A caller at a business in the 2500 block of South Tracy Boulevard said someone was loading stolen merchandise into a black Ford Explorer.

5:05 p.m.: A person at a business in the 1800 block of West 11th Street said a man just stole merchandise from the store and left on foot though the parking lot.

5:56 p.m.: A resident in the 1600 block of Parkside Drive said their son was in an argument with a neighbor who had been drinking.

6:07 p.m.: A 2014 Infiniti Q50S was reported stolen from North C Street sometime earlier in the evening.

8:55 p.m.: A person at a business in the 3400 block of North Tracy Boulevard said a homeless woman, possibly drunk, was sleeping outside the front doors and refusing to leave.

Saturday

11:43 a.m.: Someone at the Tracy Library, 20 E. Eaton Avenue, said an intoxicated man fell off a chair and wouldn’t get up and was possibly sleeping.

1:47 p.m.: A person at a business in the 2800 block of South Tracy Boulevard said a man just stole items from the store.

2:24 p.m.: A person on the 1700 block of Lilly Court was informed that the caller’s son had been kidnapped and was going to be raped if the caller didn’t pay $1,000 to the kidnappers. The information came from a friend of the caller’s son, so the person wasn’t sure if it was a prank call or not, but wanted it documented anyway.

4:54 p.m.: A person at a business on the 3000 block of West Grant Line Road reported that an unruly shopper had started an argument and was refusing to leave.

9:36 p.m.: A person at a business in the 1200 block of West 11th Street said a man was in the outside lobby refusing to leave.

9:58 p.m.: Somebody called police about a homeless man carrying a stick or baseball bat with a bag of recyclables.

10:08 p.m.: A resident in the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard said their sister’s ex-boyfriend forced his way into the home through a window.

10:42 p.m.: Someone complained about loud music near North Corral Hollow and Byron Roads.

Friday

9:22 a.m.: Someone in the 100 block of West Third Street said a woman was feeding cats on their property and leaving behind paper plates and litter.

11:25 a.m.: A rear license plate was reported stolen from a 2018 Toyota Camry in the 1500 block of Lankershire Drive.

11:33 a.m.: Somebody in the 1800 block of McPeak Court said their bank account had been hacked into.

1:34 p.m.: A caller in the 300 block of Marie Avenue told police they though their brother’s girlfriend was using their identification information.

3:47 p.m.: A driver in a Chevrolet Tahoe was reportedly swerving in and out of traffic and cutting other drivers off on West 11th Street.

9:11 p.m.: A resident in the 1800 block of Isabel Virginia Drive said they had been gone since late morning and when they arrived home a door and a window on the home were open and the home burglarized.

9:25 p.m.: A caller in the 30 block of East 20th Street said there was a suspicious man standing by the driver’s side door of the caller’s truck.

10:46 p.m.: A resident in the 700 block of West Mt. Diablo Avenue said they had an all-day argument with a roommate and were concerned because the roommate sells drugs.

March 6

6:36 a.m.: A person at a business in the 2800 block of Pavilion Parkway said people were trying to steal items and in a fight with the store security.

8:12 a.m.: An employee with PG&E was working on car chargers in the 3200 block of North Tracy Boulevard and found an electrical box for equipment had been broken into and the shelves were empty.

9:32 a.m.: A white, 20-foot-long flatbed that was parked on the street in the 3400 block of Auto Plaza Way was reported stolen.

10:48 a.m.: A caller in the 1800 block of Amatchi Drive said their 14-year-old son sent nude photos to someone they thought was a woman who had sent them nudes and now the person was demanding money because they have the photos. The caller said their son had sent $24 through Apple Pay and now they wanted more.

12:40 p.m.: Someone at a business in the 2900 block of MacArthur Drive said a woman was drunk in her vehicle and trying to leave but someone had blocked her car to stop her from leaving.

4:43 p.m.: A caller at a business on Sloan Court said a man carrying a large methamphetamine pipe had been outside their building for more than an hour talking to himself and banging on their windows.

6:24 p.m.: A van was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 2400 block of Naglee Road.

7:04 p.m.: Someone in the 1600 block of Cypress Drive said there was a man in one of the bathrooms possibly doing drugs and wouldn’t come out.

10:13 p.m.: Somebody in the 1800 block of West 11th Street said a man assaulted a woman after an argument and she left the area crying.

11:03 p.m.: A caller in the 1600 block Etta Court said their ex-boyfriend was at the house and wanted him to leave.
