LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced a series of ramp and lane closures on Interstate 15 (I-15) as part of the ongoing I-15 South Widening Project.
These traffic restrictions are necessary for sound wall work and the placement of temporary barrier rails.
From Monday, March 17, to Friday, March 21, northbound I-15 will be reduced to one lane nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. between Silverado Ranch Blvd and Blue Diamond Rd.
Additionally, from Monday, March 17, to Wednesday, March 19, northbound I-15 will be reduced to one lane from St. Rose Pkwy to Starr Ave during the same nightly hours.
The Silverado Ranch Blvd on-ramp to northbound I-15 will also be closed from Monday, March 17, to Tuesday, March 18.
Ongoing closures include the southbound I-15 off-ramp to Starr Ave and the southbound I-15 on-ramp at St. Rose Pkwy, which will be intermittently closed from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through Friday, March 28.
The project aims to widen the freeway and improve nearly nine miles of I-15 between Sloan Road and Warm Springs Road.
NDOT advises motorists to exercise caution while traveling through work zones and to consider alternate detour routes.
The department collaborates with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions.
